Central Neighborhoods Mobility Forum

Monday, February 29, 2016 - 6:10pm to 8:10pm
Trust Arts Education Center, 805 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Envision Downtown seeks to develop and implement short-term, accelerated infrastructure projects with the goal of informing longer-term transformative changes to the City's mobility network. These projects are informed through a robust data development process and then vetted through the Envision Downtown Accessibility Committee.

Especially related to the development of a Public Realm Action Plan, Envision Downtown is seeking to directly engage community members to share their vision for improved mobility and livability in Pittsburgh's Central Neighborhoods. If you are unable to attend the meetings in person, please share your thoughts and ideas online or use #YouEnvision on Twitter.

Residents and stakeholders of Pittsburgh's Central Neighborhoods are invited to a Mobility Forum to help establish a working agenda for improvements to walkability in, and between Downtown, the Hill District, the Strip District and Uptown. If successful this is the first of a series of mobility conversations planned to better connect these important Pittsburgh neighborhoods.

The forum will be professionally facilitated by Downtown Pittsburgh based, MAYA Design. Our goal is that concerns and ideas raised by community residents will be translated directly into implementable projects. Light refreshments will be available.

As an example of potential work in the neighborhoods, three proposed Downtown pilot projects will also be presented for review and discussion. These projects were developed from work conducted during the Public Space Public Life Survey in 2015. Following this opportunity for community review, these projects are planned to be implemented by Envision Downtown later this year.
