URA Vacant Land Maintenance Discussions

Monday, April 18, 2016 - 9:00am to Wednesday, April 27, 2016 - 9:00am

Dear Stakeholder,

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is redesigning its vacant land maintenance process. GTECH Strategies, in partnership with Dr. Jamil Bey of the UrbanKind Institute, Fourth Economy Consulting, the University Center for Social Urban Research (UCSUR), A. Phillip Randolph Institute, City Source Associates, KRJ Contracting, Landforce, the Hilltop Men's Group, and YouthPlaces-- will work to understand how to gain efficiencies in the current system, as well as to add additional benefits for the communities most affected.

While the URA owns less than 10% of the publicly-owned vacant land in the City, we want your input to ensure more awareness, transparency, and community benefit. To begin this process, we are convening a series of five meetings throughout the City, co-hosted by the City of Pittsburgh and the Office of Mayor William Peduto, the URA, Representative Ed Gainey, and Representative Jake Wheatley.

Your expertise is invaluable, and we hope that you can attend the meeting most convenient for you:

* South - 4.18.16, 6:00 - 8:00 PM @ Brashear Center (2005 Sarah St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203);
* East - 4.19.16, 6:00 - 8:00 PM @ Kingsley Association (6435 Frankstown Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206);

* North - 4.27.16, 6:00 - 8:00 PM @ Pittsburgh Project (2801 N Charles St, Pittsburgh, PA 15214).
We think your expertise is invaluable and hope that you can attend the meeting most convenient for you.
