In celebration of August Wilson’s birthday, AWCommunity Day attendees can look forward to a special performance of “How I Learned What I Learned”, an autobiographical monologue originally performed by the late playwright in 2003.

Wali Jamal, an accomplished actor from Pittsburgh, is among only a few men in the world who have performed this one man show. Jamal is no stranger to the work of August Wilson, he’s one of the only actors to have performed in every play in Wilson’s American Century Cycle.
