Fifth Annual Hill of Hope Gala - "A Milestone in Our Mission"

Benefiting the Thelma Lovette and Centre Avenue Ys:

Founded in 1906 on the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, the Centre Avenue YMCA led the way in building a strong community by serving as one of the first social, recreational and housing facilities in the Pittsburgh area for Black Americans. Now that we have expanded our focus and programming with two bases of operation benefiting the Hill District community and surrounding communities, we collectively seek to narrow the gap of disparities build a healthier community.

On Saturday, October 13, 2012, the Thelma Lovette and Centre Avenue Ys will host the fifth annual Hill of Hope Gala from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at the Marriott City Center, 112 Washington Place, (across from the Consol Energy Center). This year's theme is A Milestone in Our Mission. The event features a hors d'oeurves and cocktail reception, awards and recognitions, dinner, apres dessert and dancing to the music of Southern Comfort. The 2012 award honoree is The Center that C.A.R.E.S. Tickets are $100 and the proceeds benefit the Hill District community through programs of both the Centre Avenue and Thelma Lovette Ys.
