Benefiting the Thelma Lovette and Centre Avenue Ys:
Founded in 1906 on the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, the Centre Avenue YMCA led the way in building a strong community by serving as one of the first social, recreational and housing facilities in the Pittsburgh area for Black Americans. Now that we have expanded our focus and programming with two bases of operation benefiting the Hill District community and surrounding communities, we collectively seek to narrow the gap of disparities build a healthier community.
