Freedom Unlimited, 2201 Wylie Avenue

Community Education Series:
"Development Without Displacement"

Development by whom... and for whom? This workshop aims to help residents and developers understand the economic benefits of development without displacement.

Gentrification and displacement often occur when new development does not consider the needs of existing residents. As a result, new units may be too expensive, property values may rise, tenants and homeowners may be taxed out of their own homes, and so-on.

This session will include a discussion on available resources, cost saving measures, and examples of how other neighborhoods have approached the issue of development without displacement.
