JOIN US ON February 13, 2020, 6:30p.m. on at the Grayson Center 1839 Wylie Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, as we launch AfroRoma, a new play by Kimberly C. Ellis, Ph.D., the first in the Inaugural New Play Reading Series, a signature program of August Wilson House.

PLAY READINGS are an invaluable tool for Artists. They see and hear their work performed by local actors, which allows them to make any improvements and adjustments needed to elevate their art. It’s also an opportunity for those same actors to become familiar with the New Artist and are usually the first in line to be considered for a role in the play or movie when it hits production because they’re already familiar with the artist’s work. As part of our mission to identify and support emerging artists, this program is an important tool in the professional development of artists.

The New Play Reading Series at the August Wilson House supports a variety of artistic literary professionals. Have you written a new play? Planning to? Contact us –
