Now serving as Policy and Planning Associate at the Hill CDC, Dillon Brown leverages his extensive background in public policy and community development to drive positive change. A distinguished graduate of the University of Southern California, Dillon’s journey includes a Fulbright English Teaching Scholarship in Athens, Greece, where he navigated challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Returning to Pittsburgh, his hometown, Dillon immersed himself in impactful roles, such as teaching mathematics and citizenship classes.
During his Fulbright tenure in 2021, Dillon contributed to educational initiatives and economic research projects in Greece. His commitment to community development led him to a Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, where he engaged deeply with the Greater Hill District Master Plan and advocated for crucial grants like the HUD CHOICE grant for Bedford Dwellings.
Now, as a key member of the Hill CDC team, Dillon helps spearhead policy initiatives and planning efforts, furthering his dedication to serving the neighborhood’s residents. Notable among his accomplishments is the launch of the Hill District Digital History Project, underscoring his commitment to preserving community heritage. Dillon finds fulfillment in connecting with neighbors through initiatives like the Hill CDC’s Free Food Distribution program, embodying their mission of fostering community resilience and empowerment.
