Jeff Bachman has enjoyed a nearly 30 year career in Affordable Housing beginning as the financial manager for a community based, nonprofit development company in San Francisco moving upstream to a non-profit tax credit syndicator first as an asset manager, then as Northeast Regional Director (NYC), and finally Regional Vice President (Chicago). Jeff went on to be a Director at a very large provider of debt and equity instruments in Washington D.C. He then was a senior executive with a for profit syndication firm in Los Angeles for nearly 10 years, turning a cost center division of the company into a profit center and managing almost a third of the company's headcount. Particular areas of strength include analyzing and risk rating complex housing finance structures; managing operating risk, program compliance, and reporting out to private, public, corporate, and foundation financial sources; coordinating lenders, investors, and government agencies in the development, operation, and disposition of multifamily affordable housing assets, management of multiple teams of administrative and professional staff to achieve and exceed corporate and community performance goals; and high level development of technology based solutions to manage it all. Jeff was graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BS in Economics and a Master's in Public Administration. Married to a Senior Research Associate at one of Pittsburgh's largest corporations, they are highly interested in issues of social and environmental justice, immigration rights, and youth empowerment.
