Chavaysha joins the Hill CDC as a Hill District native who is excited by the idea of combining her passion to support the neighborhood's growth with her expanding experiences across sectors. She graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Political Science & Public Policy/Law. Chavaysha is actively engaged in the entire Pittsburgh region by working with organizations that transform and educate people about environmental justice, community affairs and other areas. Chavaysha volunteers her free time to help incarcerated women overcome the experiences that may hinder their future. She currently serves in leadership roles in numerous organizations and on several committees including the environmental related roles and professional development role for young Black professionals. She is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh's, Leadership Development Initiative, and an AmeriCorps Alumni.

Previously, Chavaysha served as a Legislative Assistant and Constituent Services Manager to former State Legislator Jake Wheatley, and she worked in a non-profit focused on delivering housing solutions and support to low-income residents.
