Come out to attend UPMC Confident Conversations, a community forum that provides a platform to dicuss timely diversity issues that threaten to disrupt or jeopardize the trust and emotional health of our comunity and our workforce.

This event will feature a panel moderated by Rod Doss, Editor and Publisher of the New Pittsburgh Courier, and made up of:

- Father Paul Abernathy, Director of FOCUS Pittsburgh and CEO of the FOCUS Pittsburgh Free Health Center

- Tierra Thorne, Behavioral Health Therapist from UPMC Matilda Theiss Child Development Center

- Alexis, a Student Leader from 5A Elite Youth Empowerment.


Through these forums, UPMC and their community partners aspire to:

- Attend to the needs of our neighborhoods impacted by violence

- Discuss the ramification of trauma and the resolutions necessary to alleviate its effect on community members
