January 2019 - Hill House RFP Released

  • 1/18 - URA released the RFP for the four (4) Hill House properties: Hill House Main, One Hope Square, Blakey Program Center, Family Dollar
    • Responses due by 2/13

February 2019 - Receiving Bids

  • 2/13 - Original due date for bids to be received
  • 2/27 - Deadline was extended for Hill House RFP bids
    • Hill House main closed in late January due to damage from reported water main break
    • Safety concerns prevented developers from necessary access to building, records, etc.
  • 2/27 - Proposal submitted by E. Properties and Community Partner Hill CDC
    • Bid for all four (4) Hill House properties
    • Modernize all buildings to increase energy efficiency
    • Proposed to add an additional floor to Hill House main
    • Maintain all existing tenants

March 2019 - Reviewing Bids

  • 3/19 - Special convening of the DRP to review submitted Hill House RFP bids.  2 bids were submitted.
    • E. Properties with Community Partner Hill CDC received a passing score of 91%
  • 3/26 - Special Hill House RFP Community Meeting for residents to review and vote on bids that passed the DRP
    • E. Properties with Community Partner Hill CDC received cumulative (DRP + Community) passing score of 88%

July 2019 - Closing on Properties

  • E. Holdings and Community Partner, Hill CDC closed on the sale of four (4) Hill House Properties for $4.9 million
