Centre Ave RFP Community Process Timeline

June 28th

 

Community process started. The Hill CDC announced that the URA was to release vacant parcels between Devilliers and Soho Streets for development proposals. Over 100 community members were in attendance.

July 13th

Centre Ave “Request for Proposals “(RFP) was announced and timeline was presented at the Hill District Consensus Group meeting.

July 16th –

August 3rd

Hill CDC worked with URA to develop RFP which extensively reflects the values and principles of the Greater Hill District Masterplan

July 23rd

Hill CDC followed up with a “Design and Visioning Session” with property owners and immediate stakeholders regarding the Centre Avenue and Kirkpatrick Street intersection.  The meeting was held at the Carnegie Library. Outcomes were used as an addendum in the RFP.

July 27th

Hill CDC had a meeting with community partners and direct stakeholders to allow them to preview and provide feedback on the draft RFP.  Feedback impacted the RFP.

July 30th–

August 3rd

Hill CDC worked with URA during the first week of August to assure community feedback was incorporated in RFP.

August 3rd

RFP released.

August 15th

Hill CDC has invited Centre Avenue parties and community group representatives via hand-delivered letter and email for a meeting to update and outline ongoing community participation.

August 23rd

A broad based community meeting will be held to update all community members and prepare them for development proposal presentations.  Meeting will be held at the Kaufmann Auditorium at 6:00 PM.

August 27th

Development proposals are due to the URA.

August 28th –

August 30th

URA technical review of development proposals. Community representative(s) will be on review panel.

September 5th

Developers present their plans to the community at 6:00PM at the Kaufmann Auditorium. Community will provide written feedback and rate plans using the Greater Hill District Masterplan as its guide.

September 6-7th

Developer interviews. Community representation will be included. Recommendations go to the URA board of directors.

September 15th

URA decision is rendered.

October
